Hi Tracy,

Thanks for an update. It’s good to see some stats from RightMove. We do monitor the market as well and could see that the buyers are not there at the moment. Gloomy economy predictions are not helping either.

We also agree with you that the property is there at the right price at the moment and with 14 viewings so far we think you guys are doing great job. All other agents have tried by now to get the business, but once I said we had 14 viewings, usually they go quiet. We will carry on trying to keep the frustration to ourselves and hopes high for good outcome later on.

Thanks very much for all your hard work,

Majo

Hi Tracy,

Hope you are well.  We are all settling in, not missing London and feel like we have been here ages already !

Thanks for the help you and your team gave us over the last 8 months in moving home.  We are really pleased that we got in touch with the Flatman Partnership from the beginning as the service you gave us in helping us find a new home was excellent, especially as we have two very young children which meant endless trips to look at new houses was not really viable.  We had a difficult time with our buyer and lost the house we wanted and the house we were going to buy.  However due to you knowing what we wanted you always had an alternative house which always made things seem not so bad !  The regular communication, even at times when there was nothing to report helped tremendously, spurring us on to keep going and sell our house and also in letting us know what was happening.  It is the not knowing that can be so frustrating at times.

As a company you certainly gave us a 110% effort for which we are very grateful.  We will certainly be back in touch if we decide to move again and would recommend you to others.  We wish the Flatman Partnership the best of luck.

Many thanks again.

The Barnes Family.

Ian and I would like to send the whole team at Flatmans a huge Thank You!

We struggled to sell our property with Parkers for months (about 6!) thinking that we we're just unlucky with people pulling out and messing us around. However, at the same time we started to have reservations about our agents.

At this point we'd lost hope and were starting to feel the stress, especially with a wedding to organise too... Then came along Flatmans!

You are the opposite of everything I have experienced with other agents. You treat us like individuals, taking the time to get to know us and giving a much more personal service. You are thorough, organised, prompt, efficient and very knowledgeable.

But I also feel that you go above and beyond what you could expect from most other agents, especially larger or national companies. You have been so extremely kind, helpful and genuine. I can say that I trust you and feel that you show respect, honesty and integrity to not just us but the buyers too.

I would definitely use you again, even if our house wasn't in Reading!! You can't put a price on that sort of trust. My advice to anyone being bombarded with lower and lower percentages or fixed rates from agents is to not be sucked in; it is a very false economy!

Once we had moved over to Flatmans we sold our house within weeks and the sale went very smoothly, I am certain this is not luck but due to the diligence of the Flatmans team. Many thanks again for finally relieving us of the stress that can be house selling. We are now looking forward to setting up a new home and getting married.

Regards
Julia and Ian

Hi Justin,

Thank you very much for the your diligence and perseverence in negotiating
the sale of our flat.  This has been a protracted negotiation and two buyers
have fallen just before exchange.  However we have now exchanged (they
always say third time lucky!) and I would just like to say that you have
done a brilliant job for us.  Keep up the good work and we will certainly
come back to you in the future.

Kind regards,

Helen Taverner

Dear Justin

Re: The Sale of our Parent’s property – Thanks for your help

On behalf of myself and my brothers and sister, please accept our sincere thanks for the help and support that you have given us over the last year.

As you are well aware, the sale of our parents property was fraught with difficulty due to a Land Registry problem with the actual boundaries of the property.  This caused several month’s delay to what should have been a straight forward sale.

You and your team should be commended for the diligence and care that you have taken to ensure that all parties to the sale were kept fully up to date with developments on both our side and the buyer’s side of the transaction.  Although you have many clients, every time we have called or written, you have treated us as if we were your only client and have done everything possible to make a difficult situation bearable.

We now look forward to completion on 2nd October 2007

Thank you again.

We will firmly recommend your company to anyone who is considering buying or selling a property.  Your service is second to none!!!!

Yours sincerely

Dear Justin,

I thought I would write and thank you for your help and service in selling my house (Henley Wood Road, Earley). As you know there were a few unusual problems, but with your professionalism and perseverance we got there. I appreciate that the Flatman Partnership is a close family run business, this was a great benefit as everyone knew the situation and could help whatever the question. (I didn’t get lost in the system!)

Once again thank you all for everything in those testing times.

Yours sincerely

Mrs B Maslen

‘The Flatman Partnership’s professionalism stood out from that very first phone call; it was nice to hear a different tune to your stereotypical agent.  Our sale proved difficult due to an obstinate purchaser and a complicated lease, however Justin’s persistence was second to none and he got the sale through as quickly as possible.’

Last October we came to you for guide lines on an idea of selling three properties and moving on. You promptly came up with some idea, which when we suddenly found a property we liked, set up the need to sell the three houses quickly. After beating another agent to the sale of my own house, number 17, you dealt with the other two properties and a buyer was soon found, who decided to buy all three for an extremely satisfactory price. This was done on a friendly basis which helped in successfully completing the sale in good time. We will be pleased to recommend you in the future.

Jamie

I need to do this face to face as well but cannot let time go by without thanking you for everything you have done to get us to the starting gate.

I am in awe of your knowledge, your skills, your tenacity and your sensitivity in planning and executing the whole process.  It makes me wonder how different Sahana might be today if I had been around at the time of Woosehill and cemented a relationship with you!!

It just means we have lost a few years but the future could be a lot of fun.

Only one word needs to be said….Thankyou!

Best

Fitz

Initially, as you know, we engaged 3 potential agents to value the property that we intended to sell after 5 years of ownership. The meetings with the two alternatives to Flatmans proceeded as expected. representative arrived, sniffed around the property a little and then told us flat what their proposed price would be if they were to take the property to market on our behalf. However, Flatmans arrived with a distinctly different approach. From the outset the sentiment of the meeting with you felt more open and sincere, more like you wanted our business. I was also impressed very much by the intelligence that you shared with us on local prices and what the percentage price increases in the area had been over the last 5 years. To me this sort of open due diligence as a component of how we arrived at an asking price added to the credibility and the integrity of using Flatmans to offer the flat to the housing market.
The process from there on in was managed in a solid way. After an initial wobble on ensuring that we did receive information from representatives of Flatmans in a timely and consistent way, and an honest and direct conversation, the period of viewings to an offer was managed with an excellent balance of professionalism and personal touch.
There were some peculiarities to the sale towards the end which, to myself and fiancé, were the test of the relationship that we Flatmans has worked to build with us. I am very very enthusiastic when I say that Justin in particular was the benchmark of professionalism at this sensitive stage.
If we had chosen one of the "big names" and gone through this without experiencing the approach that Flatmans take to doing business I have to say that I suspect I would now have reason to think what most do about estate agents; arrogant, insensitive and no attention when it comes to detail. I don't think this of Flatmans, in fact, quite the opposite. I am glad that we followed our instincts and made the decision that we did to sell our property.  Thank you to all of the team, particularly you Justin.

Have a great day
Chris Redmond

"Estate agents are a much maligned profession and buying a house is a stressful experience. Particularly in Reading it is difficult to find the right house at the right price and in the right location.
Having dealt with seemingly many estate agents and viewed houses which had no relationship to the details provided, we were beginning to despair.
The Flatman partnership however provided us with a different service.
Honest, straight and genuinely helpful they went the extra mile in terms of giving a personal service and being prepared to sort out problems and patiently dealing with our numerous concerns.
I have no hesitation in recommending this agency to anyone trying to find accommodation in Reading.

"Dear Justin (Flatman Partnership)

I wanted to drop you a line to thank you, and Michael, for your efforts on my recent flat sale (Flat 2, 34 Lorne Street.)

Once I decided to sell my flat, I called you in to offer me a valuation, and, I was impressed with your view on my flats potential. Other agents did not share my thoughts on the flats appeal and worth. You rightly identified my flats value, and, once instructed, quickly progressed through succesful viewings and marketing to achieving me a full asking price offer, which completed perfectly.

Thanks for your help.

Regards
Roger Whittaker"
